The show “Dinosauri: giganti dall’Argentina” has been closed at the end of February 2017 in Padua, but the story of South American dinosaurs left its traces of its passage.
The more fashinating exposed skeleton was Argentinosaurus, one of the largest dinosaurs known, an herbivorous animal with strange columnar teeth on the front of its mouth and long neck and tail, and an estimated weight around 100 tonnes or few less.
An other reptiles, really smaller and thinner than Argentinosaurus, focused the interest of visitors. It was Austroraptor cabazai, a feathered dinosaur from Cretaceus, with impressive relative short forelimbs and long legs and tail. The elongated skull was armed by a long series of small conical teeth.
We created a 3D model of Austroraptor cabazai using the skeleton exposed at Padua. It is possible to admire the detailed wireframe of such skeleton on our youtube channel, following the link.
